Duties and Responsibilities

The intern will be responsible for providing support to the external operations team with corporate sponsorship, communications, fund raising initiatives and assisting in publicizing Loyola’s 15-sport intercollegiate athletics program. Assisting with production of game notes, record books and game programs and helping with home event management for all other sports while also handling other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience
Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in journalism, communications, sports management or related field required. Applicants must have solid writing, and interpersonal communication skills and a minimum of two years’ experience in athletics communication is preferred. In addition, the successful candidate should have a strong knowledge of social media, desktop publishing software (InDesign and Photoshop) and Microsoft Word. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Certificates/Credentials/Licenses
