Duties and Responsibilities

Under general direction, plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated project to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

The Project manager reports to the Principal Investigator on all aspects of the project.

•Oversee the budget, including the specific expenditures, and internal communications.
•Assure appropriate management of data and equipment.
•Assist in coordination and participation in team meetings, training, data collection and analysis of data.
•Coordinating project IRB approval.
•Assist in identifying funding opportunities.
•Assist in proposal development and authorship of manuscripts.
•Performs other duties, as required.

Minimum Education and/or Work Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field and three to five years of project management experience required; additional education and/or experience may be required for some positions.

Qualifications

•Experience in writing proposals to support development and implementation of expanded programs
•Demonstrated ability to create and implement strategic plans
•Administration or managerial experience, required
•Ability to communicate effectively with all components of the university and external constituents.
•Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Internet and email applications

Certificates/Credentials/Licenses

•Master’s degree in Nursing, Anthropology, Higher Education Administration or other related field
•Background in Gerontology
•Human Subjects CITI Certification
•Project management experience required; additional education and/or experience may be required for some positions.
